FAQ

Where and how do I get my prescription?

We need a valid eyeglass prescription (not contact lenses!) in order to process your order. To get one, make an appointment for an eye exam at your local optometrist or eye doctor. Make sure he or she includes your pupillary distance, or PD, on your form!

What is my PD? How do I get it?

Your PD is your pupillary distance, or the space between your pupils. We need this to ensure that your prescription is properly placed in your new frames. Your PD may already be listed on your prescription, but if it’s not, use our handy online tool to get the measurement yourself

Do you offer progressive/multifocal lenses?

Definitely! We offer high quality Israeli-made progressives with anti-scratch and anti-reflective coating.

Do you offer prescription sunglasses?

We do offer prescription sunglasses! Choose any frame on our site, then select the sunglass option in lens type.

Can I get non-prescription glasses?

Yup. Choose your frames, then select “no prescription” in lens type.

Can I use my contact lens prescription to order glasses?

Sorry, no. Your glasses prescription may be completely different from the one for your contact lenses. You can easily get your glasses rx through your optometrist or eye doctor, though!

What are multifocals and do I need them?

Multifocals (progressives) are lenses that have both your distance prescription and your reading one in the same lens, with no “line” down the middle. Your optometrist will tell you whether you need them or not, but if reading is starting to get difficult too, you may want to check it out.

What are photochromic and transition lenses?

Photochromic and transition lenses are lenses that react to light. They are clear indoors, and darken to sunglasses when you move outdoors.

What are polaroid lenses?

Polaroid lenses are sunglasses with additional filters to protect the eyes from harmful or irritating rays. They help keep the eyes relaxed and glare-free even in bright sunlight.

What if my frames need adjustment?

We make sure to send our frames out in perfect condition, and your frames should arrive straight. If for some reason they still don’t sit well, most eyeglass stores with adjust them for free. If not, feel free to send them back and we’ll adjust them for you!

What is the warranty on frames and lenses?
